Appropriate for all physical conditions, ages and fitness levels including those who think they lack flexibility or wish they had a stronger back. This class is beginner friendly and people with injuries are welcome.
Mindful and slow paced sequence of gentle yoga poses designed to promote relaxation and release. Supported by the use of props, and with attention to deep breath techniques, the easy poses are comfortably received for several minutes to slow the heart rate and let go of everyday stresses. Mindfulness Meditation is simple meditative practice that strengthens one’s ability to stay focused on what is happening in the present, to be open to experience, and to make wise choices. These drop-in sessions are open to beginners who want to learn mindfulness meditation and those experienced students who want to deepen and reinforce their practice. Classes include guided instruction in different mindfulness practices, allowing some time for brief discussion and questions regarding practice. Our Silent Sanctuary hour provides you with sacred space for your personal meditation or yoga practice away from the noise and disruptions of home, work and life. No instruction is provided. The space is available on a donation basis.
